Internship at IIIT-NR for the 4th consecutive year

International Institute of Information Technology, Naya Raipur (IIIT-NR) recorded 100% placement for the fourth consecutive year as all B Tech students passed out in 2022, who wanted to seek employment, get internships at top companies, including multinational giants and big startups.

More than 45 companies participated in the campus recruitment process this year to hire B Tech and M Tech students from different departments. The highest package per year for this year increased to around Rs 57 lakh per year and the average package went to Rs 12.61 lakh per year, which is considerably more than last year. The students who won the highest bids are Chinky Karda from Atlassian, Ananya Saxena from Microsoft and Shivam Upadhayay from PharmEasy.

According to placement office IIIT-Naya Raipur, this year the average CTC for 25% of the lot stands at Rs 20.67 lakh per annum, while the average CTC for 50% of the lot is Rs 18.19 lakh. per year. Students were offered roles in various fields such as software development, data analyst, consultant, business analyst, etc.

Analysis of placement results for this year indicates that IIIT-NR is rapidly becoming a preferred institute for recruitment by top IT companies like American Express, Codenation, Carl Zeiss, Ericsson,, etc. . Many companies participated in the campus drive for the first time this year, namely PharmEasy, KPMG, Big Basket, Cyware, SteradianSemiconductors, Teradata, Blogvault, Tekion Corp, Credgenics, etc.

Revisiting the former companies of the IIIT-NR campus proves that the talent pool created by the institute is very useful for the latest requirements of the industry. Recruiters appreciated the performance of students from previous batches, which is evident by the fact that they visit again and seek more students. Student performance also attracts several new companies looking to recruit talent from IIIT-NR.

Director of IIIT-NR, Dr. Pradeep Sinha said that the institute is quite satisfied with the performance of the students who participated in the on-campus internship and believes that every student has worked hard during these trying times. He credited the recent performance of the students to the Board members, faculty and students as well as the support provided by the state government, NTPC and their officials.

Placement Officer Dr Amit Agrawal said the institute has invested in preparing students for the online process which has started to reap results. He added that the 100% placement reflects the hard work of students to prepare for online virtual tests and interviews.
