L&T Tech wins on multi-year Airbus contract

L&T Technology Services rose 2.19% to Rs 4,641.05 after the company announced it had been recognized as the preferred global engineering supplier for European multinational aerospace company Airbus.

Under the EMES3 program (Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Services Strategic Suppliers), Airbus Group has awarded a multi-year contract to L&T Technology Services (LTTS). The commitment covers all Airbus divisions, subsidiaries and affiliates.

LTTS has been a strategic supplier to Airbus Global and its Indian subsidiary for over a decade, providing engineering services in verticals such as engineering, avionics and digital.

The IT solutions provider has expanded its operations in key Airbus geographical locations, including Toulouse, France, which is set to become the main R&D Center of Excellence (CoE), serving Airbus’ broad portfolio of aerospace customers. LTTS, as well as the strong talent pool of LTTS. of over 17,000 engineers operating in India leveraging conventional and digital expertise.

LTTS’ offerings to the aerospace industry encompass a wide range of services, including aerodynamic structures and systems design, manufacturing engineering, avionics and software development, aircraft engine design, ATM solutions and airlines and MRO solutions encompassed by its portfolio of digital solutions that caters to all phases of the aircraft life cycle.

LTTS is a listed subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro specializing in engineering and R&D (ER&D) services. It offers consulting, design, development and testing services throughout the product and process development lifecycle.

On a consolidated basis, LTTS recorded an 8.14% increase in net profit to Rs 249.60 crore on a 4.96% increase in operating revenue to Rs 1,687.50 crore in Q3 FY22 compared to T2 FY22.
