Payroc acquires payment provider Worldnet

Global payments company Payroc WorldAccess has acquired Worldnet, which provides payment solutions to Independent Software Vendors (ISVs).

Payroc announced the purchase in a press release Friday, April 22, saying the integration of Worldnet’s technology into its platform gives Payroc a stronger foothold in the ISV and integrated payments space.

“Our joint offerings and capabilities will drive more value for partners and developers, and allow more flexibility to create unique payment solutions for consumers,” Payroc CEO James Oberman said in the press release. “The addition of Worldnet complements our existing products and brings additional payment facilitation capabilities to our team as we focus on delivering flexible white label solutions.”

Based in Illinois, Payroc serves more than 110,000 merchants in approximately 40 countries, providing assistance in areas such as risk management, underwriting, global device connectivity and application programming interfaces ( APIs).

Worldnet provides an integrated payment gateway platform that offers ISV and Software-as-a-Service customers what Payroc calls a “white label global payment facilitation infrastructure”. The company is based in Georgia and was founded in 2007.
